Commercial Assistant Project Manager

SummaryThe Commercial Assistant Project Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating the order entry, purchasing, scheduling, releasing, delivery, and possible installation of customer orders in a timely manner.
Responsible for ensuring that each detail in the customer's order is addressed by managing orders from the point of contract through final resolution, which may include post installation and/or service issues.
Works closely with sales teams, order fulfillment teams and 3rd party providers to achieve and provide excellent customer satisfaction.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties/ Responsibilities o External and internal customer contact o Reviewing and booking orders from the sales team o Purchasing product from vendors and our corporate manufacturing facilities o Recording key dates and activities related to orders o Scheduling and releasing completed product o Scheduling of Value Add and Pre-finish o Coordinating delivery of customer orders o Connects customer payments following installation or delivery as needed o Managing recovery process for shortages and damaged product o Ordering parts and/or scheduling service appointments as needed o Process factory credits to Pella Corporation and provides follow up/revision to pending or denied credits o Resource for PQM/ADM and product offering questions o May assist with physical inventory and help resolve inventory discrepancies o Works in tandem with Sales Representative and the Service Department to ensure successful project completion including RFI's, change orders, and submittals o Assist in coordination of all close-out documentation required (service manuals, warranties, etc.
) o Collect different quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers o Review and assess cost estimates o Identify labor, material, costs and time requirements by researching proposals, blueprints, and any related documents o Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan o Assisting in drafting all system-specific details of fenestrations systems, including all submittal drawings and parts drawings in CAD o Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the departmentSkills/ Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in a construction related field; or 3
years equivalent combination of education and experience in commercial construction o Provide excellent customer service o Works collaboratively with Pella team members and customers o Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency o Strong problem-solving skills o Ability to write field reports, business correspondence, and provide others direct instruction related to construction practices and procedures o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction contract documents including architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and construction contracts o Adaptable to changing processes and priorities o Focused on details and follow through o Proficient in Microsoft OfficePI226070085 Recommended Skills Adaptability Architectural Drawing Blueprinting Business Correspondence Business Process Improvement Cad Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
