Director of UX - Fortune 50 Company - Retail SME

Our client is a Fortune 50 Company with deep roots in the consumer and healthcare industries. We are looking for a Director level candidate who will be focused on UX Design and Strategy for their retail business. The Director will work across the entire enterprise of their online business. They are in the midst of a major digital overhaul and are assembling a best-in-class team; it's the top priority for the executive team. The company is nestled North of Providence and South of Boston. The company is on the cusp of some major innovations in healthcare and now, more than ever, is an exciting time to be part of these transformations!

We are looking for someone with a strong visual, design and creative background coupled with the technical knowledge of various online platforms. Technical skills are important but this isn't a coding or prototyping role. The director's charge is to create and communicate the vision and all aspects of UX design throughout the organization and own it throughout the actual build.

We need a Director who during a discussion on a UX approach would be the one to take control of the white board and lead the discussion, facilitating the conversation around what can/can't be done, how best to do it, and then taking ownership of it moving forward.

Highlights of the role
Be the go-to-person for all retail commerce UX initiatives across the enterprise
Build and lead a team of direct reports; manage and mentor others on mission-critical projects
Work across the company - with product owners, business managers and the c-suite and serve as the subject matter expert for all things relating to the retail arm of their business
Revolutionize the customer experience across devices and platforms
Bring game-changing business ideas to life
Scope projects from start to finish, including budget, staffing and other resources
Tap internal and/or external resources to get the job done
Bring UX design and front-end development best practices and innovation to the organization

Candidate profile
10+ years of relevant UX experience, with specific expertise in retail digital commerce
Corporate or agency experience
Direct management (teams of three-plus preferred) and vendor/agency management
Hands on experience with Adobe creative suite, wireframing and rapid prototyping tools
Knowledge of loyalty and/or couponing programs is a huge plus
Lean UX methodological approach
Self-starter
E-commerce experience
Stellar project management skills
Digital experience within a healthcare organization preferred
Bachelor degree; Master's degree preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
